Just where do you start reading, is what we wanted to know. There are pages and pages of bankruptcy articles in this magazine, and after awhile they all start to sound the same. Well, after awhile, they are all the same. There are only so many stories that can be told about how a company or individual go to the point they were. Still, some of the articles were helpful in determining where we wanted to go and how to get there. There was not too much we could do. We didn't have a lot of options, given how the business had just suffered and died. We were living strictly on savings, and we did not not want to start draining our retirement. Bankruptcy filing was really the only option. At least if we filed w might be able to a least keep a roof over out heads. This was not something we wanted to do at all, but at this point we had no choice. We were getting calls everyday, letters, and even people coming to our house and pounding on the door. So we decided that we needed to take just a little time and educate ourselves on this thing; otherwise, we might get taken to the cleaners, both by whatever lawyer we choose and by what happens if we get an unfavorable judgment.
