I keep flipping the channels this afternoon and nothing good seems to be on. Here’s an old movie with Clark Gable and Gene Tierney. How boring. Then there’s some religious program, some priest droning on and on; Another religious program on the next one, and a reality game show. Wide World of Sports featuring the National Indoor Golf Championship. (What??!!) What’s on this channel? A Road Runner cartoon. Dear God. Wait—here’s an old made-for-TV movie. The guy looks vaguely familiar but I’ll be hanged if I can remember his name. The woman’s okay-looking. It looks boring. They’re discussing the ins and outs of their relationship at some country club. They just keep going back and forth, back and forth. What is that actor’s name again??!! All right, time to flip again. Oh, my stars. Here’s another reality game show called “It’s All Your Fault!” What are they doing to that poor guy? It looks like they invited the audience to come on stage and beat him up! They’re enjoying it immensely. Time to flip. Here’s another religious program, that Kathleen what’s-her-name that looks like she has crystal balls for eyes. No, thank you, AHH, here we go. Lifestyles of the Poor and Unknown. Now THAT should be interesting! That is—as long as they don’t focus on scandalous events. The narrator sounds down-to-earth. Oh, wait, I think this is a comedy show. Well, it’s the best thing I found so far so I’ll stick with it.
